Whistler Village Blurb

I stayed in a "Symphony Condo", located at the corner of Lorimer Road and Northlands Blvd (see maps below). It was VERY nice, and (because of the exchange rate) pretty reasonably priced. It had washer/dryer, kitchen, gas fireplace, TV, living room and queen bed corner, and seemed brand new. Symphony is across from a supermarket and liquor store so it's a convenient location. The busses in Whistler Village are all free, and take you to the lifts in the morning, so proximity to the lifts is pretty unimportant. For nightlife, go to "Buffalo Bills", which is an extremely popular bar with a dance floor. On the Saturday night Robbie and I went, we figured out you have to bribe the bouncer to get in, since the line to get in never moves. Don't worry though, we paid $10 Canadian money, which is a complete joke and worth about $5 US. :-) We also went to "Merlins", which is a pretty nice sports bar at the Excallibur Base Station II (just up the Blackcomb mountain at the first Gondola junction). You can take a free shuttle from the town, or just ski right up at the end of the day for a pint.
