HardBack Album - Crabin' Cabin Photo Album

(scanned in 11/29/03)

This is a hard back album, from a collection of photos from the photo albums stored at the Crabin' Cabin in Newport, Oregon.  The photos are irreplaceable, so I decided to scan them in as a backup.  Click on any photo for a HUGE (1 Meg or larger) extremely high resolution copy.

Notes: Any photo with a red date is info from the back of the photo.  I didn't want to pry up all the photos, but I tried for at least one date per page to get a general idea of the ranges.

Randy is in a lot of these from 1978:

These are from 1978:

Top left photo is from 1976.

These from 1977:

These from 1978 and 1979:

I think that's Bruce in the upper left.

There were no dates on these photos:

That's my family in the upper left from 1976.  Stranger in hood, Cheryl (my sister), Grandpa, Randy (my brother), Brian (me), Howard (my Dad).  You can see the Lynn Dee Lou in the background.

Some pictures from 1979, on the upper right you see Chip and his wife Robin.

Some pictures from around 1980:

It looks like 1980 was an outstanding year, a real peak of the salmon and other fish year.

I don't know the significance of the fish below all alone in a photo.

These are all from 1980, look at all those salmon!!!

I think the pictures below show the "100th Salmon caught in 1980" out of Newport Oregon, on the Lynn Dee Lou boat, out of the Crabbin' Cabin.

The picture on the upper left shows the original Crabin' Cabin, without the addition we added to make the dining room larger.

This picture shows how chinook salmon are much bigger than the normal "coho" salmon we normally catch.
