Start the day at Hotel Padova, Rab Island, Croatia.

Waiting for the ferry to bring us back to the mainland.  These 4 or 5 bikes were the only ones that caught this ferry, more bikes went before us, some after, as people got going with their days.

The next few pictures are from Bovec, Slovenia.  There are small gliders and planes going overhead, there are white water rafters in the rivers around here, there are motorcycles on the roads.  This place is one big sports party!

I swear this next picture is not staged.  As we walked away from the motorcycles, this Slovenian woman walked up and started looking at the motorcycles.

Panorama of Bovec.

Crossing the border back into Austria.

Top of the Wurzenpass.  (Or maybe Vsic, I'm not totally sure.)

Hotel Post in Villach, Austria, about to leave it on the morning of May 31st.

Heading back into Slovenia for a quick start through 3 mountain passes.

We tried to go up the Mangart road off of Predil pass, and got stopped by snow a kilometer or two from the top.  The Mangart road has a series of tunnels, this is the last one we could get to.

I fought up through some snow, hoping it would clear after that, and here I took this at the highest point I got to.

Dr. Don.

Brian Beach.

Barry, fighting his way through some snow.

Barry is buried up to his tailpipes in snow, if you look closely you can see his rear tire spinning and kicking snow.

Barry kicking snow out behind him as he fights his way back to the tunnel.

Barry finally makes it.

Here we got off the pass, and found a lunch spot in Italy.

At this pass, it is a one-way road that alternates directions once every hour.  Here we wait for our light to turn green.

Brian Beach, in the rain, as we head into Arabba.  Here we are at the Campolongo Pass.

Arabba in the rain.

The shower in my hotel room.  It's kind of strange, it has a semi-circle track that slides the door closed.
